We owned this machine for less than one year. Within 2 months of using it / within 10 washes it started making a scraping noise. We immediately called support and after several minutes we were able to schedule a service appointment. The service is contracted out AE Factory Services who proceeded to reschedule the appointment three times 9/2310/810/15 and only notifying us the day of the appointment. So we stayed home for nothing. without diagnosis in the meantime they shipped us parts. When they finally showed up on 11/12 one service person arrived and stated that they thought it was a tub assembly issue. Which he stated was an extensive 2 man job to repair -- in his words the whole washer needs to be torn apart. I suggested to my husband because the machine is under warranty less than one year old with very little use I would prefer it be replaced. With that he has spent several hours on the phone speaking to several service people with no resolution. I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER LG WASHER AND DRYER I also called home depot to see if they would help and they were not helpful whatsoever. They should stand behind their customers in my opinion. Today 11/27 they delivered a extremely large and heavy part to my home that my husband and I could barely get inside. My husbands last call was to escalate on 11/22 and we still have not heard back. DO NOT BUY LG

Unpleasant lingering odor.

Was very excited to get this machine but the odor comi g from it is overpowering. Its like the machine is mildew scented in purpose. I sent back the first one got a different one and this one is also scented LG customer service said to run theTubClean cycle with Tide machine cleaner - 10 packets later nothing has changed. Considering sending this and the matching dryer back and getting another brand. My whole house smells like mildew and LG told me its a normal manufacturing odor.

Brand new and very noisy especially compared to the WM3700 it replaced. Loud water fill and really loud clunk when the water valve shuts. Hear it through out the house. Had a tech come out and he said it was loud. He called LG support to see if anything could be done. They told him over the phone that it was normal without even listening to it. So no help from LG support. It does clean well and is considerably faster then the old LG.

Dont expect delivery any time soon...

Ordered this washer and choose the quickest delivery and installation date. It was slower than Home Depot but I decided I could wait an extra couple days. But then the day before the delivery they said they were overbooked and pushed me back 2 more days. Waited longer. The day of the delivery came and I heard nothing about a delivery window. I checked with the only number I had. No information. Called LG. They had no information and no phone number they could give me. They told me that if it wasnt delivered in 7-10 days then they could give me an inconvenience discount. Who can wait that long for a washer They had no way to get ahold of THEIR delivery company except by email. They could take my money but could not give me any information about how to get the washer. No other phone numbers. Not even a timeline of when I could expect to hear from someone. Canceled my order and now I get to wait 7-10 more days to get my money back. Worst customer service. Why sell a washer you cant deliver

Its a very nice washing machine. The delivery and installation was abysmal. 1- they left the shipping bolts in. 2. Scheduled a 2nd visit to finish and they didnt show up. No call nothing. Poor customer service. I had to pay someone to finish the free installation offered by lg.com.

I purchased the WM4000HWA washer to replace a Maytag that had failed. I didnt expect this to be such an upgrade but it was. Although I only have been using it for a short 2 weeks it has been amazing. The turbo mode is a must have the cycle is literally minutes it leave the clothes clean and dry. This is my first LG but wont be my last. If you are on the fence dont hesitate this machine is spectacular.

I did not know washers could be this great. Im impressed by the smart interface and the features of the washer. It is incredibly convenient to have the washer sense how big the load is and display a timer on the interface. No need to check the laundry room to see if your clothes are still washing Im also impressed by how dry the clothes are after the spin cycle completes. I definitely save money on electricity on less time spent drying clothes.

LG did not deliver the product after purchase despite LGs assertion of Flexible Delivery for purchases made on the LG Shopping Portal. The Flexible Delivery and even LG Mandated delivery ETA Estimated Time Of Arrival never happened. Twice the ETA was not fulfilled October 2 October 4 2024 ETA 3-7 PM. LG customer service was unresponsive in determining the reason for not delivering a product that had been fully paid for.

Good cleaning large capacity

Ive only done a few loads but it seems to be working fine. The door is large so it is a litfle hard to reach around it to load and unload. Its against a wall and facing the dryer. It is quiet and spins the clothing really dry. I prefer analog controls to the computerized but I no longer have a choice in the matter. The many wash cycle options seem unnecessary when you could just have selection buttons to choose temp time spin speed etc.

I bought an LG Washer and Dryer 4 months ago. After 1 month the washer stopped working. The repair was not possible because a part was not available. Now another month has past and I dont have a washer. I have 10 hours on the phone and been asked to jump through many hoops and still no repairs even though I have been elevated to the useless Presidential Dynasty system. I cannot reach anyone to help me and now I am expected to move my washer I am elderly to get to the back and open it. I cannot physically do it and no one responds to my pleas for help - including no responses to emails to the President. I would give a no star rating but it makes give it 1.

This was a great washer until we got a u5 error code and the unit wouldnt run for more than a few minutes. Called LG since it is under the manufacturers warranty and they had a repair man from Eralux come the next day and said it was a vibration sensor and that he ordered the part and it would be here the following week. Heard nothing from anyone at all the following week. You try to call Eralux and the phone just rings you leave a voicemail and they never call you back. As far as I can tell Eralux isnt even a real company. When you call LG to get them to deal with THEIR repair service all they do is call the same number and then give up and say that theyll send an email. I finally got LG to contact Eralux and somehow spoke to an Eralux rep who said the part was backordered and that it would be delivered the following week. The following week comes and what do you know? Silence. Back on the phone with LG they call and email but arent willing to do much more but we did find out that the part actually isnt backordered. It took hours on the phone with LG to get them to dump Eralux and find a new repair service. The new repair service called us today saying they ordered the part and it will be delivered in 5-7 business days 4 weeks after the washer first broke. Called LG again to get them to rush the delivery and the customer service rep says they cant help because theyre not in parts department. Had to force them to transfer us to the parts department where they say they cant even ship the order because theres an issue with the repair service. Of course they try to get us to call the repair service as theyve done all along even though this is THEIR vendor and THEIR problem. Every step of the way weve had to fight with LG just to get some help. This has not been a pleasant experience to say the least. I highly advise against buying this product because if it breaks youll be out of luck.

The sale process was annoying and although I chose a Purchase of a washer and dryer with pedestals LG did not include the pedestals with the sale. When I called customer support for help in having the pedestals included in the sale they told me they could not include the pedestals after the sale nor could they sell me a set of pedestals at a reduced price. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and it is tough bending to retrieve clothes out of the washer and drier.

Broken Washer Delivered 6 months for replacement

I purchased directly from LG.com on June 2. Delivered broken squealing and squeaking terribly loud on all cycles and all load sizes. Reported it immediately to LG with phone calls but was sent to AI troubleshooting and also transferred several times and hung up on after holding 45 minutes to over an hour several times. Resorted to emailing videos and audio to the Customer Service email. Took over a week for them to respond with a one-line email saying they would send a tech on July 16 no information no time no phone number. I received a call WHEN THEY WERE ENROUTE Tech determined it was installed correctly but broken. He said he would report it for a replacement. I waited 4 weeks without contact Then I started calling again and again only to once again be put on hold several times and then hung up on. One representative stated the I hadnt reported it in time and I was outside the 2 month window so there would be nothing LG would do I calmly explained I had proof of all the phone calls proof of the technician visit and proof of the all the emails. They just said Oh and ended the call. Its now 114 days since purchase and I still dont have a working washer Their current plan is to pick up the defective washer takes between 3-6 weeks deliver to their warehouse another week to scan it in then notify Returns to processes a refund one more week then 5-7 days to hit my credit card then I am supposed to reorder if it is in stock and wait 3-6 weeks again for delivery Might get a working new washer sometime around CHRISTMAS when I ordered it June 2 and reported it was broken 2 days after delivery waited until Monday to call. I asked why they cant just order a new washer for delivery and pick up the defective one the same time. They say You need to adjust your expectations and that isnt their process. Well my EXPECTATION is to actually receive a working washer in a REASONABLE amount of time ordered June 2 and they think LATE DECEMBER is reasonable to actually replace a defective product they delivered and their tech verified as broken upon delivery. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE customer service

Delivery / Installation Nightmare That Never Ends

Do not order these units online / directly from LG unless you are prepared to install or service them yourself. I ordered this unit the matching dryer and the stacking kit. When the delivery RXO team arrived they opened the stacking kit which was still sealed in the box and found that it was missing a piece LGs mistake. The delivery team members did not speak English but they got their supervisor on the phone. I told him I could get the part from a nearby big box store but he was not willing to have his team wait the ~15 minutes for me to do that. Instead he assured me they would return tomorrow. They left one unit uninstalled upstairs in our laundry closet and the other one in our LIVING ROOM where it is still sitting five days later. I spoke with LG and directly with RXO the day after the delivery - an hour plus on the phone on a Saturday - and neither has followed up. I have also emailed LG customer service twice and have received no response. Its beginning to seem fraudulent as they are unwilling to fulfill their obligations and are not honoring my return request. If youre considering an appliance purchase I would visit a local appliance store and under no circumstances would I trust an LG product. Lesson learned.

Washer great but delivery date failed

Purchased directly off LG.com a month ago to replace a failing 16 year old LG washer. Washer itself performs great no complaints. However do NOT trust the delivery date promise that LG gives you at the time of order. In our case the date that LG provided turned out to be the date that the washer was delivered to the local company that handles installations in our area. That hand-off seemed to be working OK as shortly after placing the order we had update from installer company called RXO indicating they would provide more specifics 24 hours in advance. So far so good. However when the 24 hour advance notice was received was directed to the RXO scheduling site only to find the earliest delivery slot was not for another two weeks After contacting RXO to complain they simply said that LG unfortunately was not considering the local delivery schedule in their delivery date confirmations and that nothing RXO could do. So my word of advice is if youre in urgent need of a new machine you probably need to be factoring in that actual delivery/installation likely will not be for another 2 weeks after the date that LG tells you.

Could Not Be Happier

I had a previous LG front load washer that was still going strong after 15 years when we sold the house. After moving into a rental with a top load Whirlpool with agitator plate - I was shocked how terrible it was at washing clothes. The clothes never felt looked or smelled clean. I Purchased this LG WM4000 front load washer during Labor Day sale and it was delivered set up within a few days. Ordering was all done online and was a smooth and easy process. This new machine is amazing. Everything comes out CLEAN again Plus it fits my quilts and blankets with ease and they turn out great I cant tell you what a difference it is over that horrible top load from Whirlpool. As an FYI - I always wash with warm or hot water with small amount of powdered detergent Borax. Never had a problem in 15 years with my previous front loader from LG with mold/mildew or smells - I always wiped down inside rubber seal and kept door ajar for drying. Also always removed clothes promptly when done for drying. You will never have a problem if you do this. I highly recommend this LG front load washer.

Well. It was supposed to be delivered August 28. Had a date confirmation sent to confirm. I am still awaiting delivery. LG needs to be sure the people hired to do the job are on the same page. RXO even though my product is 90 minutes from me said it wasnt scheduled until November 15. I talked with both RXO and LG. of course you can only get to the call centers for both companies for several hours and ended up with a delivery date of September 6 today but have not heard a peep. I find I quite hilarious that LG gives a delivery date but uses a trucking company that has a schedule that does not care when lg promised delivery According to LG. I was supposed to receive my washing machine August 28th 2024. I am still waiting. The trucking company all though my machine is 90 minutes from my house didnt have it scheduled till November 15 2024 I have several hours of conversations with LG and the trucking company trying to get them to just let me pick it up. But being all I could get were call centers. For both companies. The best they said they could do would be September 6 2024. They sent me a second confirmation date for the September 6 delivery but they are still sending me a link to schedule said delivery. That being said. We will see September 6 if I actually receive it. As for a rating on a product LG thinks I have had a few days to use. I only hope their product is better than their ability to deliver is

Terrible Experience with LG Washer Ordered Direct

I purchased the washer on 6/2/24 and the delivery immediately changed from 6/10 to 6/22 as soon as they charged my credit card. Absolutely no communication until 15 hours before delivery Broken unit delivered on 6/22 squealed and screeched on wash cycle and spin cycle no matter if it was 3 pairs of mesh shorts or 8 large towels. After a week of getting the run around and sent to AI websites and hung up on I sent THREE emails with video and audio. Heard nothing for 7 days then got a one sentence email saying they were sending a technician sometime on July 16. He called when he was driving to my house. Declared it installed properly and broken needing a replacement and that he would notify Customer Service. HEARD NOTHING FOR 4 WEEKS so I started to call. Got the run around put on hold several times for 45 minutes to an hour transferred and hung up on immediately. Kept calling. They wanted to send ANOTHER technician. More run around. The Marion called saying they would do a return refund and reorder. I found out the unit would be picked up in OCTOBER at the earliest then a week to warehouse week to scan in and send info to Returns and Replacements then another week to credit my credit card then I could reorder and spend either 3 or 7 weeks waiting for delivery again So the washer I ordered on June 2 would not be replaced until December or January I said it was unacceptable they should bring the new washer and pick up the old at the same time. Now Im getting 2-3 emails 2-3 text messages and 6am phone calls from the pick-up company RXO to schedule a pick-up I never agreed to. They indeed left me a message in late August that there were no appointments in August no appointments in September but might have one in October. So the new working washer I ordered June 2 MIGHT get replaced in January when I notified them 2 days after delivery that it was broken.
