What I always wanted

I have had hand me down refrigerators for the past 12 years and I wanted a nice, new, clean one. We finally received this Smart Hub, Samsung refrigerator and I am so in love. Now, we are still in a apartment at the moment, waiting for our house to be built, so I haven't use the refrigerator yet, but I know a lot about it already. Friends, family have the same one and I love the features. I didn't know you could connect your Ring system to it. I can't wait to use it when I am making dinner and I need a recipe. It's annoying to have your phone or computer in the kitchen, trying to look up each step. Hopefully my kids do not find out how to connect to social media on it, then I will never have it back. Can't wait to use it and so happy to have it!

Happy Wife, Happy Life..Really!!!

Okay, so I want to share my experience with this Samsung side by side refrigerator that my wife surprised me with a couple months ago. I think I can safely state that the "surprise" part was not done on my behalf. Rather, knowing my disdain for this style of refrigerator, I believe it was one of those, "I'd rather risk the need to apologize than to have him say 'NO'". This is not her usual behavior, but I think her desire for the Samsung Family Hub gave way for her temptations. Anyway, I would love to say that I have been converted and because of our new Samsung refrigerator, I now love side by sides, but I cannot do that and be honest. I continue to dislike this style of refrigerator and it is mostly due to the fact that there always feels like less room in these than any other style of the same cubic feet. Additionally, when my wife asked me to move the shelves for her in order to fit her ice tea pitcher in, I had to be the one to tell her, "I'm sorry love, but they are not adjustable." Then, to top it off there was no waster dispenser. I will say this though, she is extremely happy with her Family Hub feature! To tell you the truth, making her happy is really what it is all about anyway! What is a roomier refrigerator or a use for the stack of extra water filters I bought in advance fo my previous refrigerator if my beautiful bride has not gotten what she wants? When she gets excited about the grandchildren's photos streaming on the Hub, it truly puts a smile on my face. Furthermore, I am confident that if I took the time to research the Family Hub, I would become aware of a few features that I could get excited about also. So, even with an appliance that I thought surely would put me in a negative state, I have found that Samsung has done it again!!! This is a company/brand that not only has begun taking over my home snd all (or at least most) of my appliances and even technology and I am not unhappy in the least bit about it. I never thought I'd EVER say it, but, based on the results, these types of surprises won't be banned any time soon.

I bought this for myself for a Christmas present ! Upon my first thoughts/opinion.. this is really nice quality and has a touch of class... I love how luxurious it looks with no protruding handles to open the doors ! I totally love the LED Lighting, Very bright. Best part is the Screen and temp controls are in the settings menu, I can Stream Radio on it, end even look inside on its camera. The non fingerprint stainless is super cool. Overall a great fridge, and even has a 10 yr warranty on the inverter (compressor). Im super happy on this purchase. Totally NOTHING to complain about and the Side by side (28 cu ft) has TONS of room for everything.

We are pleased with the purchase of this refrigerator. Plenty of space for average sized family (4). So far no issues with cooler and freezer. Less noisy as well. On top of that, family hub is a big addition, can play videos from youtube, stream songs from apps etc. good time pass being in the kitchen.. good quality speaker works as bluetooth speaker and you can take calls as well.. also can add and do shopping for groceries right from the hub.. great features and very convenient..

The Good, the Bad and the Beautiful!

I'm going to share honestly about my thoughts an our new Samsung refrigerator and the things I love about it as well as challenging factors. To begin, although there is no ice & water dispenser on the front of the refrigerator, I somehow still assumed that these features existed. I actually had a previous fridge that also did not have the water or ice dispenser on the outside, but rather they were located inside on the fridge side. I was sorely disappointed that this model didn't have one at all. I was kick myself for not researching further. Luckily my husband was able to run a water line to my garage fridge for use to an older fridge there for me. I was then able to buy a water dispenser to store cold water in my new fridge. The only real other complaint I has was finding out that the shelves are not adjustable. I was super surprised by this! I actually asked my husband to switch the shelves for me in order for me to fit my taller ice tea picture, as well as my granddaughter's apple juice jug. I don't ever remember owning an appliance that you were not able adjust some of the shelves. Now, for what I love: although side-by-sides have often been given thumbs down based on the assumption of smaller capacity. However, this refrigerator has been a delightful surprise! I have found the lay out vey efficient! I even have been able to organize my condiments in the door in groups, such as salad dressings; hamburger/hotdog toppings; pb and jellies. To be totally honest, I have barely scratched the surface as far as the benefits of the amazing Family Hub! With that said, I'm elated about the gallery & the ability to have my grandchildren's picture on the fridge in such high quality that there's nothing I've ever had in the past that compares. I've had photos made into magnets, printed pics & had a ton of other other things that allow me to see my angels on the fridge, but this is the ideal option, because I have a beautiful, large photo (that I can change any time I want), without the messiness of lots of stuff hanging on the fridge. In addition, if we need to leave a note for one another, there an ability jot it down tight on the screen. It's great, because I don't have to worry about it being missed or getting overlooked amongst other items hanging on fridge or piled on counter or table. Again, I realize there's a ton more attributes available through the Samsung Family Hub feature & I don't think it's that challenging to figure out, I just haven't taken the time. Finally, I am super pleased with the ice maker! It is efficient & the cubes are a nice size. My previous refrigerator was really lacking in this area. The cubes were almost half the size, which causes them to melt super quick; therefore, I found we were using more and would actually run out at times. So far, we have never even come close to running out of ice & I could probably actually store some for backup. I'm overall quite satisfied with this Samsung appliance. I'm looking forward to the future with our new fridge.

Good at cooling, aesthetics could be better

I feel like the model I have is great at cooling. From day 1 it was wonderful at how quickly it cooled and froze products. The smart abilities are a great improvement from previous models I've seen. Integrations with SmartThings are a great add for anyone with a smart home and especially if you have a Samsung TV. Alerts flow from the refrigerator to the TV screen for example letting you know when the refrigerator door has been left open. Interior lighting made it easy to see everything in the fridge. SmartThings app connection is good when it works, sometimes the app has trouble seeing the refrigerator status. Downsides that I've seen are odd shelf heights and configurations that don't work well for my family, as well limited drawer space. The 2 minute door alarm can be a bit annoying and would benefit from configurability with time and sound.l selections. Overall I'd give it a thumbs up.

i got my samsung refrigerator with family hub and i can't begin to tell you how fun it's been. this fridge comes loaded with so many features from making grocery shopping lists to show you how to cook a new dish! the family hub connects with my ring front door camera and the build-in inside camera lets you have a quick look at things inside. all temperatures for the freezer as well fridge can be set from the screen with no buttons to tweak inside. the speaker is loud and perfect for music or cooking tutorials. the screen is large and has really smooth transitions and minimal lags, and allows multitasking. the samsung refrigerator has enough space to store a week's food supply for a family of 6. i will definitely recommend it to family and friends this samsung refrigerator.

Smart Refrigerator with plenty of spaces

I originally hesitant to have a refrigerator with LCD screen; thought it is gimmick rather than feature. After using Samsung Family Hub refrigerator over a month, I can tell it is a legitimate feature that makes not only my kitchen smarter, but also good looking. My favorite feature is the built-in Alexa with speaker, which I use mostly for hands-free cooking timer, and music play; think of it like a huge Echo show. The large LCD screen can be customized, and showing me essential everyday information on it. On top of that, it displays my family pictures as if it is digital frame; love it. Samsung SmartThings app is useful to control the refrigerator via smartphone, it includes inside camera view, shopping list, uploading pictures/videos, and of course temperature controls. And not to mention, it is a very capable high capacity refrigerator as other Samsung's appliances. I would highly recommend Samsung Family Hub Refrigerator to anyone who need large interior with smart features.

My Dream refrigerator

Ever since the first Samsung family Hub came out I have one of this refrigerator every time I go into Home Depot I always say one of these days I'm going to get it going on over 4 years I finally received my refrigerator! I have never had a refrigerator but had so much room that I could actually fit everything I need two in there and it's still not overcrowded. I wanted one with an ice maker and water on the door but that's quite okay I'm very happy with what I have it does have a built-in ice maker I have not hooked it up yet cuz I do plan on moving unfortunately I'm getting a divorce. The family Hub allows you to create menus search for recipes play music almost everything your smartphone does. When you're out and about and you need to know if maybe you don't remember if you have eggs or not wonderful thing is is that you can turn on the family Hub app and actually look into your fridge. What I would have liked a little better since the camera is focused on one spot is it that had a wide variety of movement so you can see almost everything on all the shelves and zoom in or zoom out. You have the potential of making your own list for your groceries so many wonderful feature this thing has! I highly recommend this refrigerator I am in love with it I've always been in love with it in my love is not going to change for it!

Love the technology!

This fridge has been great so far. We love the sleek look and are really liking the black SS. No exterior handles give this fridge an elegant feel to it. We love that it is smudge proof bc that's very helpful with a toddler! There is a lot of space on the fridge side but we do find the freezer side a tad small. We love the Family Hub but the only thing we ended up contacting Samsung about was childlock. They were so cool that they said they would try to add it in their next update-such an accommodating company! It was easy to set up on Wi-Fi and works great! We have used Spotify, Google calander and Amazon on it so far. It can even be used to look inside while shopping which is so convenient! We use the shopping list app and whiteboard all the time. The ice maker is huge which we really like along with the easy access to the water filter. The only con is not having a water dispenser and the inability to move the side door shelves or the interior shelves. Thanks Samsung for making a great product and opportunity to use this in my home. We will definitely be recommending this refrigerator to our friends and family.

What a Great/Fun Addition

This refrigerator is cool (pun intended). This replacement of my last rumpus room refrigerator is so much better. It has LOTS of room in the refer side and the freezer side. The door shelves are abundant and of good size for larger items such as milk jugs in the refer side and for every day use items in the freezer side. It was easy to connect the water for the built in ice maker and the ice maker is quick and comes with a generous size ice bucket built in. The temperature controls are simple to use. The box is VERY bright and makes it easy to see inside the refer. The fresh food bins are spacious and slide easily. I was thinking I did not need the camera in the refer side but I have already found that the camera is a nice tool. I have already referred to it while on a shopping trip to see my supply of a few items. The Family Hub is a very nice addition. It was easy to set up on Wi-Fi and works great! I have used Alexa, Siri and Amazon Music on it so far. It can even be easily used for a peek inside the refer which is cool. The Smart Things app makes it simple to control the refrigerator and to see inside of it plus monitor it for temp, filter, etc.. The sound on the Hub is very good for music. I have actually used the Hub to mirror from my phone hotspot to watch a few sports broadcasts and it was easy to set up and use that function. I have used the Hub for announcements and to check the weather and news. We have left others messages using the white board along with adding items to our shopping list. The unit itself is beautiful (I have the black stainless steel). It definitely resists fingerprints and is easy to wipe clean. I am not sure if I can stream videos through the Hub yet as I haven't had time to attempt this yet. The filter is easy to access when I do need to change it. I am so happy I have the opportunity to use this refer in my home and will definitely recommend this refer to my friends and family if/when they need replacements. I got my Samsung refrigerator with Family Hub and I can't begin to tell you how fun it's been having it in my kitchen. My family and I just moved into a new house and having this baby just makes things much awesome for everyone in the kitchen. This fridge comes loaded with so many cool features from making grocery shopping lists to show you how to cook a new dish! The family hub connects with my ring front door camera and lets me see when someone is at the door, it has come in handy in family gatherings while some of us are in the kitchen and the others are in the yard. The build-in inside camera lets you have a quick look at things inside, all the temperatures for the freezer as well fridge can be set from the screen no buttons to tweak inside. The first day we plug it in the freezer started cooling really fast which amazed me since all the other refrigerators I had in the past 50 to 40 degrees, I want to attribute this to Samsung's Air-around Cooling technology. The screen is large and the screen has really smooth transitions and minimal lags the operating system I believe is Android-based and allows multitasking as shown in my video you can be browsing other screens while having music in the pandora app. Space-wise you have enough that, the Samsung RS28A5F61SG has enough space to store a week food supply for a family of 6 and has a pretty good depth for being a counter depth refrigerator. Overall the Samsung RS28A5F61SG Refrigerator is the perfect refrigerator for someone that wants more than a refrigerator, if you are about to do more this is your refrigerator. I will definitely recommend to family and friends this Samsung refrigerator.

Lots of Room

it has lots of room in the refer side and the freezer side. the door shelves are large. it has a built in ice maker. the fresh food bins are spacious. the camera in the refer side is a nice tool. the family hub is a very nice addition. it was easy to set up on wi-fi. it can even be easily used for a peek inside the refer which is cool. the smart things app makes it simple to control the refrigerator and to see inside. we have left messages using the white board along with adding items to our shopping list. the unit itself is beautiful (i have the black stainless steel). the filter is easy to access when i do need to change it. product!#samsungrefinsiders
